What Should Be Used

For tubing you are definitely want a life jacket even if you're a really awesome swimmer.  They also work as a chest pad and rash guard for your chest.  Goggles will help you a lot when you are going over 30 mph.  I like to use the Speedo kind but i think that maybe Oakley's or Spy's or Dragon's might work (skiing goggles.)  If your grips on your tube get slippery you could use ski gloves.  any suggestions please email us at: xtremetubing@yahoo.com

Peter's Background

This is my history of tubing.  I first started tubing a loooooooooong time ago.  All I remember is that it was up north called Lewiston, Michigan.  I went against my friend in tube wars. Other than that I dont remember anything.  Then we started going up to our friends' cottage up in Hale.  They have a pontoon and they have a sweeeeeeeet tube.  It's not a circle but not a triangle but its completely flat.  It can fit 3.  We used that which was fun.  Then we finally (after 6 years) got a boat well to open up so we got a boat.  Its a 95 Larson 19 1/2 ft open bow ;-).  We got a tube that came with the boat (cuz we bought it used and the guy didn't need it) and it was really crappy and it had a hole in it!  So my dad bought an awesome tube.  It's a Sevylor Black Widow Pro Express.  Its low profile so it's almost completely flat.  So I tried it out on Lake Saint Claire which is like a Great Little Lake and the waves can get like 3 feet high.  So I tried it.  It's so easy to get air on.  That's my history.
